Child in Year 5 now? Plan for next year
The dates for September 2028 entry are not published yet. Going by this year's dates, the order is usually:
- March of Year 5: Bexley test registration (this year it was 1 to 31 March, with no late entries).
- May to July of Year 5: Sutton SET registration (this year 1 May to 31 July).
- June of Year 5: St Olave's registration (this year 8 to 29 June).
- By early July of Year 5: Kent Test registration (this year it closed on 1 July).
- September of Year 6: most tests.
- October of Year 6: results, then apply to your home council by the end of October.
- 1 March of Year 6: National Offer Day.
Registration is easy to miss because it happens in Year 5, months before the test. We will update this page as soon as the 2028 dates are published.
