- Means-tested bursaries from 30% to 100% of fees. Mark the bursary box by the October deadline.
How to help your child prepare
- GL-style papers. Practise GL English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning questions to time.
- Verbal reasoning. Build vocabulary through daily reading and practise word and code questions.
- Practice material: the school points families to the free GL familiarisation papers on the GL Assessment website.
- Read every day. Wide reading builds the vocabulary and comprehension every entrance test needs.
- Interview. Help your child talk about their interests, the books they read and how they solved a problem. There is no need to learn answers by heart.
Common questions from parents
Is there non-verbal reasoning?
The school lists English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning papers only.
Can we apply to several schools?
Yes. Many families apply to a few independent schools and grammar schools. Watch the different registration deadlines.
