Year 10 GCSE Maths and Science Tuition

Year 10 is the first year of GCSE. Topics come quickly and each one matters in the final exams. Our classes teach each topic in depth, with notes, worked examples and exam questions from the start. Exam boards: AQA, Edexcel and iGCSE.

What Year 10 students usually learn

Every school teaches topics in its own order. Most schools cover topics like these in Year 10, and we match the class to what the students are doing at school.

Maths

• Algebra: quadratics, simultaneous equations and inequalities
• Graphs and their equations
• Geometry and trigonometry
• Ratio, proportion and rates of change
• Probability and statistics
• Higher and Foundation tier support

Science

• Biology: cell biology, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics
• Chemistry: atomic structure, bonding, quantitative chemistry, chemical changes and energy changes
• Physics: energy, electricity, the particle model and atomic structure
• Required practicals and 6-mark questions

How classes work

• One live class for the year group on Zoom. There is no travelling.
• GCSE Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with a weekly rotating focus.
• Homework and notes on Google Classroom.
• There is no trial class: it is a structured course that builds week by week.
