Year 11 GCSE Maths and Science Tuition

Year 11 is the exam year. We finish the GCSE course, then move to full revision and past papers before the mock exams and the summer exams. Exam boards: AQA, Edexcel and iGCSE.

What Year 11 students usually learn

Every school teaches topics in its own order. Most schools cover topics like these in Year 11, and we match the class to what the students are doing at school.

Maths

• Harder algebra: functions, algebraic fractions and proof
• Vectors and circle theorems
• Graphs, including transformations
• Mixed problem-solving across the whole course
• Full past papers with detailed solutions

Science

• Biology: homeostasis, inheritance, variation and evolution, ecology
• Chemistry: rates of reaction, organic chemistry, chemical analysis, the atmosphere and resources
• Physics: forces, waves, magnetism and electromagnetism, and space (Triple Science)
• Required practicals and longer written answers

How classes work

• One live class for the year group on Zoom. There is no travelling.
• GCSE Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with a weekly rotating focus.
• Homework and notes on Google Classroom.
• There is no trial class: it is a structured course that builds week by week.
